During our Photo Review sessions, we sometimes see photos where the most important part of the subject is out of focus. We all feel the photographer's pain when we point out that even a slightly out-of-focus subject can doom an otherwise good photo.
Focusing problems can be caused by several things, but one of the major ones is the photographer assuming that the auto-focus capabilities of her or his camera will automatically provide a perfectly focused photo.
