The Wildlife Photo Contest

The Rockfish Wildlife Sanctuary in Shipman, Virginia, has announced its 2017 wildlife and landscape photo contest. If you're interested in entering, you should know that:

  • The entry fee is $20 per print or $25 per uploaded image. Fees go to support the wildlife rescue and rehab work of the sanctuary.
  • Contest is open to amateur and professional photographers alike.
  • Entries must be of native Virginia wildlife or of Virginia landscapes.
  • Photos must measure exactly 8 by 10 inches. (All entries will be matted without cost to the photographer, and all finalists will be framed without cost as well.)
  • Prints should be taken to The Great Frame Up in the Rio Hill Shopping Center in Charlottesville through August 31st.
  • Electronic images (sized to 8 by 10) can be uploaded to rockfishwildlifesanctuary.org.
  • All entries will be matted and on display to the public at The Great Frame Up.
  • All finalists will be announced on September 23, from 5:30 to 7:30, at a reception and fundraiser at the store. Food, wine, and beer will be served.
  • "Great Prizes!" will be awarded at the reception.

If you have any questions about the contest, someone at The Great Frame Up should be able to help you. Please do NOT ask the person who posted this announcement. :-)
