Photographers needed!

Sue Erhardt, the executive director of the Ivy Creek Foundation, has asked whether any of us would be willing to photograph the activities and the people enjoying them at their annual "Farm Day," coming up at Ivy Creek Natural Area & Historic River View Farm on Saturday, October 25, 10 AM till 2 PM. This is a free, family-friendly celebration of farming, food justice, and community, so there will be many opportunities to photograph people having a good time in a beautiful setting.

The event is hosted by Ivy Creek Foundation and highlights African American and Indigenous farming history, food justice, and community connections. Partner organizations will be offering hands-on activities, demos, and exhibits.

While the event spans four hours, you can choose any part of that time to be there and not only employ your photographic skills but also to support a very good cause. Any photographs you take will belong to you, of course, but we urge you to share your "keepers" with the foundation. Photos they use in their publications or online will include your credit line, and your generosity will support the partnership our club has with the foundation.

If you'd like to enjoy this event with your camera and support your club and the foundation, please let Sue know with an email to sue@ivycreekfoundation.org.

Thank you!

Gerry
