We have had a very good response for the Bracketts Farm field trip. Let's all think positive for nice weather. We will be assembling at Bracketts Farm Saturday April 11th at 1:30PM. In the event of an all-day rain forecast I will email you to cancel the event the night before. Our Volunteer host will be Jack Maus who is the President of the Foundaton board. Jack will be opening a few of the outbuildings and the tobacco barn. Jack informs me that on old un-renovated section of the main house will be available and there is some old equipment in the Tobacco Barn. Otherwise you can roam the grounds and pond which will provide many subjects. I am suggesting that we finish up by 4:30PM however the property itself does not close until dusk so you are welcome to stay longer if you choose.
The address is 1117 Bracketts Farm Rd, Louisa, VA 23093. It is best to use your phone's directions or your cars GPS.
I have reserved a side-room at Rhett s Oyster Bar and Grill at 12:00PM for those who would like to join together for lunch prior to the trip. Rhetts is across route 15 from the Zion Crossroads Loews and Walmart- (accessible as an exit off I-64) . Please reply to stankaslusky@comcast.net to let me know if you will be joining us for lunch.
There is no number limit to this trip - The more the merrier.
